A documentary film about the nomads living in the Sahara desert, south-east Morocco. We take a look at their threatened way of living and also at the “International Nomad Festival” (Festival International des Nomades), organized by the association “Nomades du Monde”, taking place every year in the community of M’Hamid El Ghizlane. A festival that aims attention to the problems such as the disappearing culture of nomads in the region.
We talk to visiting artists from Japan, France and other regions in Morocco and how they relate to the nomadic culture of the region.
This video is subtitled in French, English, Dutch and Spanish.
Directed, produced and acquired by June Verelst and Filip Huygens.
Sam Asaert was an additional camera operator.
